Wind Tunnel is a project of Youth ImPact Windham County,

Wind Tunnel comes out of a local partnership of agencies and religious congregations who are working together to offer young people opportunitie and curb violence. Youth ImPact partners are: Youth Services, The Boys and Girls Club, Vermont Independent Media and The Guilford Church, and New England Network for Child, Youth & Family Services.

The mapping process works this way: young people ages 15-22 who are interested in mapping meet once a week for two hours to interview folks in the community - businesspeople, artists, activists, and others - who might have opportunities for young people. They could have paying jobs, internships, apprenticeships, volunteer opportunities, or maybe just something to give, such as a hot meal or free groceries to take home.
